The Canterbury Club decided Lo grant permission, subject lo the approval of the Minister of Internal Affairs, the Hon. W. E. Parry, and the Racing Conference, but owing to its not being possible to fit in a Saturday for some weeks, the date of the meeting will be held over in the meantime. The only clear Saturday this season in the South Island appears to be July 9, the concluding day of the Wellington Racing Club’s winter meeting.
