ON NEPEAN RIVER GREAT PUBLIC SCHOOLS’ REGATTA NORTH SHORE WIN AGAIN Received May 1. 7.5 p.m. SYDNEY, May 1. Thrilling finishes were witnessed in the Great Public Schools’ forty-sixth annual regatta on the Nepean Rivet to-day in splendid weather. The Head-o£-the-River champion eights was won for the second year in succession by Sydney Church of England Grammar School (North Shore). Sydney High School being second and Newington College third. The winning margin was three-quarters of a length, with five lengths between second and third. Time, Bmin. 26.1 sec. The First Fours was won by Sydney High School, who were hotlj challenged by the North Shore crew. The latter were defeated by only a quarter of a length. Scots College were third. UNION BOAT CLUB DUSTIN PAIRS FINAL The final of the Union Boat Club's competition for the Dustin pair-oar trophy was rowed on Saturday morning when J. McDonald (str.) and B. Crutchley (bow) won from A. F. Sheppard (str.) and T. Salt (bow) by a margin of a length.
