RIFLE SHOOTING A service match was fired on the open range on Saturday afternoon, the winner being R. B. McKenzie. WOMEN’S INSTITUTE A special meeting of the Bulls Women's institute was held on Wednesday to consider remits to be dealt with at the Dominion conference in Wellington, in July. Owing to the president, Mrs. Huddleston, being at the North Wellington Conference being held in Palmerston North, Miss Broughton was voted to tne chair. There was a fair attendance of members. Mrs. Hendry was elected delegate to the Dominion Conference. The competitions for the May meeting will be lhe best article made from a pard of 36-inch cretonne, trimming not to cost more than 6d; and specimen bloom. It was decided to ; hold a card evening in May. I Mrs. Jurgens was the winner of the I points prize at the recent flower i show.
