EL SENORITA WINS CUP N.Z.-OWNED HORSE’S BIG DIVIDEND Received May 1, 7.5 p.m. SYDNEY, May 1. City Tattersall’s Club meeting at Randwick was favoured with delightful weather. The chief results are:— Denman Stakes.—Brown Baroness 7.7 (Zensky) 1, Moonray 7.8 (Harvey) 2, Manilla’s Pride 6.7 (Lappin) 3. Fifteen started. Half a neck; head. Silver Rose was fourth and Gay Chou seventh. Time, 1.12 L City Tattersall’s Cup. EL SENORITA, 8.3, Bartie . . 1 SILVER STANDARD, 8.10, Munro 2 ALLUNGA, 9.8, Heath 3 Seventeen started. Buzalong and Sidcup were scratched. El Senorita led all the way and won well by four lengths, with a neck between second and third. Bourbon was fourth, Gay Knight fifth and Troy and Improvement well back. Time, 2.18’i. Y’outhful Stakes. —Activity 7.8 (Parsons) 1, Geebung 8.7 (Munro) 2, Cragite 8.1 (Knox) 3. Seventeen started, including Shipley and Homeric. Three lengths: head. Shipley was sixth. Time 1.13:1. The winner, Activity, who is owned by .Messrs. W. Devon and J. Jamieson, returned a heavy dividend on the totalisator. Hurdle.—Capaneus 10.5 (Malcolm) 1, Ranchero 9.0 (Ryan) 2, Grecian Art 9.5 (Robinson) 3. Six started. One and a-half lengths; two and ahalf lengths. Keewong, who blundered at the last hurdle, ruined his chance and finished fourth. Time 3.43. Golden Chance and Rival Hit were unplaced in the Club Welter■ Handicap, won by Denis.
