HOLIDAYS WITH PAY
BRITISH PROPOSALS LONDON, April 28. The Government Committee on holidays with pay recommends at least a week for industrial and kindred workers by voluntary arrangement until 1940-41, when legislation will be suggested for industry generally, based on the results of the probationary period.
The committee recommends a fortnight’s holiday with pay for domestic workers and favours a fixed Easter.
