BUBONIC PLAGUE
CONCERN IN SOUTH AFRICA (Times Cable). Received April 12, 5.5 p.m.
LONDON, April 11. The Capetown correspondent of The Times says that there is anxiety at i Port Elizabeth owing to the disclosure ' that eight deaths from bubonic plague > have occurred in the last month. The I outbreak is at present confined to the native quarters.
One hundred contacts have been quarantined, and wholesale inoculations are proceeding. Bubonic plague is an acute infectious disease. The epidemic in England in the 14th century was due to this plaguy
