SENTENCE FOR THEFT
BANKRUPT BROKER. Received April 12, 5.5 p.m. NEW YORK, April 11. Richard Whitney, the bankrupt broker, whose firm was suspended by the Stock Exchange, and who pleaded guilty to stealing 103,000 dollars’ worth of securities from the New York Yacht Club, was sentenced to five to ten years’ imprisonment.
