W.D.F.U. Members o£ the Wangani branch ot the Women's Division of the Farmers' Union are reminded that the annual meeting will take place on Wednesday, April 20, in McGruer's Hall.
Easter Saturday Cabaret. The Elrick will be the scene of a blight cabaret dance on Saturday evening, a special Easter function having been arranged for dance enthusiasts and visitors to the city for the holiday. An excellent band has been engaged to play the dance music. Thursday Night Dance. Many requests for a late night dance have been acceded to and a popular dance will be held to-morrow night at the Carlton Ballroom at 9 p.m. Popular prices will prevail and the Masqueraders' Swing Band will provide the music. W.I. Garden Circle. A very pleasant afternoon was spent on Monday by members of the garden circle of the Aramoho Centre W.I. when they visited the home of Mrs. F. Carpenter, Brassey Road, St. John's Hill. The room was tastefully decorated with bowls of pom-pom dahlias. Mrs. D. Murchie, convener of the circle, extended a welcome to Mrs. Gould, president of the institute, and also Mrs. McNeill, - new member to the circle. The visitors enjoyed inspecting the garden and specially admired the shrubs, palms and beds of beautiful dahlias. Mrs. G. Fear gave a talk and demonstration on wiring flowers tor bouquets. The hostess dispensed a very dainty afternoon tea. On behalf of the circle, Mrs. Murchie expressed thanks to Mrs. Carpentertor her hospitality and giving them the opportunity of viewing her lovely garden.
