OFFERINGS AM) SALi\ DECREASE

REDUCED EXPORTS A considerable decrease in the quantities of wool sold in New Zealand and exported during the nine months ended March 28, as compared with those for the corresponding period of last season, is shown in the returns compiled and issued by Dalgety and Co., Ltd.

Offerings of wool last month which included five major roster sales, totalled 121,995 bales, of which 116.323 bales were sold.

For the nine months ended March 28 offerings totalled 569,174 bales, of which 502,245 were sold, as against 603.933 bales offered and 599,248 bales sold during the corresponding period of last season. This season’s offerings have been 34.759 bales less than those for the nine months for 1936-37, while actual sales show a decrease of 97.003 bales.
