COOL STORES DISPUTE
SPEEDY SETTLEMENT REACHED
WELLINGTON, April 12,
What was described by the Conciliation Commissioner, Mr W. J. Reardon, as a record settlement, was made in the Wellington and Taranaki cool stores dispute to-day. The entire proceedings, including the signing o£ the documents, occupied well under half an hour. The only point left to the Court was the determination of the term of the award. The hours were fixed at 44 and the rate of pay ranged from £i 10s to £5 10s, with hourly rates from 2s 4d Lo 2s 6d.
