JAPANESE OIL AND COAL COMPANIES
ALLEGATION IN TOKIO

The Foreign Office spokesman alleges further Soviet oppression of Japanese oil and coal companies in North Saghalien and the arrest ot 20 Japanese executives and the terrorisation of 1700 employees. This is obviously designed to deprive Japan ot her oil and coal concessions. "If the Soviet aggravates the situation we will not hesitate to respond,” adds the spokesman.
