Miss E. Newton, St. John's Hill, was a week-end visitor to Wellington. Mrs. Beaumont Bates, Grey Street, Street, has returned from Nelson. Miss Aisla Brodrick (Maxwell) is a guest at Hotel Wentworth, Sydney, also Mrs. Sam Brewer (Waverley). • • • • Miss C. J. Wilkinson, Marton, was a visitor to Wellington during the weekend.
Mr. and Mrs. C. F. Millward and Mr. and Mrs. J. Millward, St. John’s Hill, motored to Wellington at the week-end.
Mrs. Harcombe, Wellington, is visiting her daughter, Mrs. S. B. Wilson Nukumaru.
Mr. and Mrs. A. N. McLeod, Okoia,' who are on holiday in Sydney, have ■ left for a ten-day tour of the country 1 districts ot New South Wales, returning to Sydney for the Royal Show and Easter festivities. • • • • Miss Mary Thomas and her sister, Mrs. J. S. Leach, of Wanganui, are staying with Mrs. F. W. Hobbs, Papanui, Christchurch. Miss Thomas and Mr. Derry Hobbs are to be married on Easter Monday at Merivale. Mrs. Leach will be matron of honour. Mr. Evan Perry, formerly chief electrical engineer to the New Zealand Government, and Mrs. Perry, Colonel H. C. B. Hopkinson, and the Hon. Mrs. Hopkinson, and Mr. and Mrs. T. A. Stuart Monteath, left Wellington last Wednesday by the Rangitata on their return to England. Other passengers were Mrs. Williams (Hawke's Bay) and her daughter, Mrs. Richard Tripe (Wellington!, Mrs. W. H. Price (Wellington), Miss D. Elworthy (South Canterbury), Mrs. and Miss M. Chesney (Lower Hutt), Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Keel, and Miss Betty Hannam (Christchurch).
