MR AND MRS T. TENNENT HONOURED On Thursday evening Mrs Mitcalfc entertained a number of friends in nonour of Mr and Mrs P. Tennent, who have disposed of their property in Waverley and are making plans to leave shortly on an extended tour in j the East. In the drawing-room, whicn was very artistically decorated with ! large bowls of pink-shaded hydran-; geas and dahlias, a number of the I guests played contract bridge, while i others found ‘monopoly’' very entertaining in the dining-room, which was very gay in autumn-shaded dahlias and cosmos and very effective minature decorative apples. When a delicious supper had been enjoyed, Mrs A. Wilson proved the winner in two rubbers of auction bridge, which brought the jolly evening to a close. Among the guests were: Mr and Mrs P. Tennent, Mr and Mrs R. Palmer (Wanganui), Mr and Mrs S. Barrow, Mr and Mrs C. Hodgson, Mrs Walkington, Miss Cleary, Mr and Mrs Sheppard Miss N. Mathieson, Mr and Mrs Daniell, Mrs E. Parsons, Mrs Wilson. Mr and Mrs W. ! Mr and Mrs H. Cowdell.
