McKAY’S GAIETIES
FAREWELL TO WANG ANU The talented company which comprises Mr Stanley McKay's Gaieties of 1938 gave their farewell performances at the Opera House on Saturday afternoon and evening, and the presence of capacity audiences on each occasion speaks volumes for the popularity of the company. Headed by the popular Australian comedian, Joe Lawman, these artists were responsible for a really first-class show, and in spite of the fact that Saturday's season was a return visit after but a week’s interval following a four-night season, they did not get stale. Wanganui theatregoers will certainly look forward to Mr McKay's next offering.
