“PROFOUND THREAT”
AMERICAN STABILITY 13,000,000 unemployed WASHINGTON, March 18. Mr J. L. Lewis, chairman of the Committee for Industrial Organisation, in a letter to the Chairman of the House of Representatives, issued a warning that 13,000,000 unemployed are a ‘‘profound threat” to the nation's stability, and asked for a 3,000,-000,000-doiiar appropriation to provide a minimum of 3,500,000 jobs in the next fiscal year.
