Meteorological Office, Wellington, Monday, Dec. 27, 3 p.m. General Situation.—Pressure is relatively high over New Zealand but varies a little over the whole of the Tasman and New Zealand area. ft Forecast.—Winds: Light to moderate and variable, with southeasterlies predominating at first but turning later at many places to north-east. Seas (New Zealand waters): Slight to moderate: Eastern Tasman: Light east to north-east winds predominating; seas, slight to moderate. Weather: For the most part fair to cloudy and hazy, with moderate to warm temperatures, overcast at times, however, in eastern districts, with misty rain in scattered places. ’ Time of sunset to-day, 7.58 p.m. Time of sunrise to-morrow, 4.48 a.m. Phases or the Moon for December.—New Moon, December 3First Quarter, December 11; Full Moon, December 18; Third Quarter’ December 25.
