WEDDING GIFTS LOST [ Per Press Association. ] PALMERSTON N., Dec. 24. Particularly unfortunate circumstances attended a fire in a house occupied by Mrs W. G. Pye and Mrs R. O’Connor, Joseph Street, shortly before seven this morning, when the
building and contents were extensively damaged. Flames already had a strong hold when the brigade arrived and a great volume of smoke necessitated the use of gasmasks. Miss N. D. Pye, in preparation for her marriage, had on the premises many articles for a new home and the flames played havoc with a portion of these. Indications are that the fire Originated r—r kJUhA,;
