PUBLIC NOTICES WANGANUI CORPORATION TRAMWAYS. HOLIDAY SERVICES. FRIDAY, DECEMBER 24, 1937. (Christmas Eve). n’HE Tram and Bus services will continue running till 11.0 p.m., and the last trams and buses will leave the Post Oilice for the various terminii at that time. Commencing at 7.0 p.m. from the Post Office and 7.20 p.m. from Virginia Road, a 40 minute service will be run on St. John’s Hill route via Springvale and Grey Street. A special bus will leave Fox Road at 7.0 p.m., and 7.40 p.m., inwards for City via Smithfield Road, and will leave Maria Place outwards at 9.40 and P.O. at 10.20 p.m. respectively for Fox Road via Smithfield. NOTE: Between 7.40 p.m. and 9.40 p.m., all buses will leave Maria Place. SATURDAY, DECEMBER 25, 1937. (Christmas Day). No Tram or Bus Service will be run. SUNDAY, DECEMBER 26, 1937. In addition to the scheduled Sunday morning services, special trams will run to Castlecliff Beach on the arrival of the special trains from New Plymouth at 12.5 p.m. The ordinary summer afternoon service to Castlecluff Beach will be run as from 1.0 p.m. The half-hourly Aramoho Park service will commence at 12.30 p.m.. from Post Office and 1.2 p.m. from Aramoho Park, and the half-hourly Wanganui East service at 1.0 p.m. from P.O. and 1.15 p.m. from Hakeke Street. SIGHT-SEEING BUS: Observation Bus will leave the P.O. at 2.0 p.m. on Sunday. Fare: Adults, 2/6: Children, 1/3. 24 miles. Dial 2551 for enquiries. MONDAY, DECEMBER 27, 1937. The ordinary week-day services will be run on all tram routes from 6.40 a.m., but the St. John’s Hill Bus will commence at 9.0 a.m. from P.O. and 9.20 a.m. from Virginia Road, and run as per schedule. CASTLECLIFF BEACH: Weather permitting, and traffic conditions warranting, the scheduled holiday timetable as per timetable booklet, page 24, will be run between Post Office and Castlecliff, commencing at 9.0 a.m. SIGHT-SEEING BUS: Observation Bus will leave P.O. at 2.0 p.m. (Tramway timetables obtainable from all tram and bus operators: PRICE. 2d).
