The Lord Mayor of London and the I Mayoress visited the sorting room of I the General Post Office to see the i staff engaged in the work of the busilest week of the year. The Christmas mails are beating all previous records, and nearly 16,000 extra men are being 1 employed in London alone, while throughout the country more than 90,000 extra men are engaged. The Christmas Empire air mails represented an increase of over 700 per cent.
