R A N GITIREI-CHELTEN HAM RIFLE ASSOCIATION The annual meeting of members of the Rangitikei-Cheltenham Rifle Association was held in Bulls on Monday evening. In the absence of Mr K. W. Dalrymple, the chair was taken by Mr F. J. Soler, and there was a good attendance. It was decided to hold a championship meeting at Bulls on Anniversary Day, Saturday, January 22, 1938, and the entrance fee will be 30s. Black 1 and white targets will be used, anu the use of single-arm slings will be optional in all events, including the service match. The standards were increased as follows: 300 yards, to 48; 500 yards, to 48i, and 600 yards to 47L The election of officers resulted: — Patron, Colonel C. G. Powles, C.M.G.; president, Mr K. W. Dalrymple; deputy-president, Mr F. J. Soler; vicepresidents, Capt. J. W. Barry, 0.C., Wanganui district, and Messrs J. C. Williamson and H. W. Woods (Cheltenham!, C. C. Price, C. H. Thorby, A. W. Amon, W. A. Stevenson and It. Burt (Bulls); range officer, Capt. Hugh Johnston, M.C.; council, Messrs K. W. Dalrymple, F. J. Soler, J. C. Williamson, L. Huddleston, S. Mayhew and R. Stuart; committee, Messrs K. W. Dalrymple, D. Lundy, C. M. Broughton, L. Huddleston, H. Meau.% D. P. Thorby, R. B. McKenzie, J. B. Robins, F. J. Soler, S. Mayhew, R. Stuart, W. J. Jenkins, and W. A. Stevenson; emergency executive committee (to act before and after the association meeting), Messrs K. W. Dalrymple, H. Meads, and J. B. Robins; hon. secretary, Miss B. Wilson; hon. treasurer, Mr J. B. Robins The handicap cup and aggregate will be open only to competitors who use two or more points at the meeting.
