Whether this aspect is duly appreciated or not, there is ample proof of the popularity of a trip to beaches which offer good facilities for bathing. One has only to watch the happy throngs of people arriving at beaches by the varied means of transport available. Of these none is more popular than the railwa excursions organised frequently during the summer season. The secret of this popularity is the provision of comfortable carriages and cheap fares. In our advertising columns in this issue particulars of another such • excursion will be found.
