CAUGHT BY POLICE
MAN WITH TWO REVOLVERS [ Per Press Association. ] ASHBURTON, Nov’. 19. While under observation at nigrt in the Domain, Albert Edward Linde liff flourished a heavy calibre revolver and a constable pour ced on him, wresting the weapon from bJm, whi.n was found to be unloaicd. A search of the man’s effects later revealed a second large gun. Neither was regiatcied. In the Court to-day Lindaliff was fined £3 and 10s costs for carrying a revolver, and £1 and costs lor the possession of two revolvers, and the weapons were confiscated; £2 or seven days’ gaol for converting a bicycle to his own uses; £2 or seven days’ gaol for the theft of articles from a shop; and remanded to Thursday on a charge of breaking and entering a shop. The police stated that accused bought the revolvers from an Australian for 10s. No ammunition was found. Four other indictable charges would be laid against accused next Thursday.
