MEMORIAL TO KIPLING
BURSARIES FOR BOYS SUM OF £35,000 IN HAND Received Nov. 18, 8.45 p.m. ] LONDON, Nov. 18. More than a thousand men and wo* men admirers of Kipling from all over the world attended an inaugural banquet for the Kipling Memorial Fund, the purpose of which is to establish bursaries for boys from countries throughout the Empire to attend Kipling’s old school, the Imperial Service College. A sum of £35,000 has already been subscribed. Those who attended the banquet sent a message and a basket of flowers to Kipling's widow.
