WANGANUI SHOW

ENTRIES UP TO EXPECTATIONS. IMPROVEMENT TO LAY-OUT. Entries in all sections at the Wanganui Agricultural ami Pastoral Association's annual show to-morrow and Wednesday are up to expectation and it is expected that the show will be a nunqualilied success. Working bees have carried out all the work required for the installation and equipment of the sheep and pig pens, whilst the cattle pavilions have been renovated throughout. The lay-out of the grounds shows that a much more ambitious display in all sections will be presented at patrons, and it is satisfactory to find that the number of displays from firms outside Wanganui is more than double the highest number previously recorded. In the side-show section the area allotted is twice the size which was available last year and even so the committee is finding it difficult to find space to accommodate late applicants. The ground steward, Mr. A. R. Donaldson, has reason to be very pleased with the financial side of the letting of space, and reports for the two days of the show will easily eclipse all previous records. The lay-out of the grounds this year will give added enjoyment to patrons, who will find no overcrowding in any section, it being the desire of the ground steward to give ample space for each section. While the area over which the show extends is of far greater extent than any previous show held on the racecourse, patrons will find that the improved layout will enable them to view each section in comfort. It is confidently expected that the 1937 show will be an overwhelming success in every way and the committee earnestly hopes that every resident of the city and district will I make an effort to be present.
