Jim Ferrier Again. Jim Ferrier, Gtate amateur champion, won the New South Wales Close Championship for the fourth time on October 9, at Bonnie Doon—three times in succession. His aggregate for the 72 holes was 280. Ferrier finished alone, the runner-up, Norman von Nida, being ten strokes away.
