BUSINESS NOTES

LEISURE TIME Much has been written regarding the best method of using the leisure time provided by recent legislation. Unless the spare time gained by reason of the 40-hour week is used to advantage the object of the legislation is defeated. It is well known that travel is one of the best means of broadening one’s outlook. For those who cannot undertake extensive tours week-end excursions provide splendid opportunities for visiting other centres at a very small cost. Particulars of another of these popular excursions promoted by the Railway Department will be found in our advertising columns in this issue. WANGANUI SHOW Those of our readers who propose to visit the Wanganui Show will be pleased to learn that suitable arrangements have been made regarding train services and cheap railway fares. Particulars will be found in our advertising columns in this issue. MANAWATU TROTS Particulars of the arrangements for trains and cheap fares for the Manawatu trots appear in an advertisement in this issue. EGMONT A. AND P. SHOW AT HAWERA Satisfactory arrangements have been made in connection with the Egmont A. and P. Show at Hawera insofar as rail transport is concerned. Particulars will be found in our advertising columns in this issue.
