“100 MEN AND A GIRL.” Hailed as the world's sweetheart, Deanna Durbin appears in “100 Men And a Girl," which concludes to-night at the Majestic Theatre. The progress this amazing youngster has made is depicted in her new film, in which she sings, among other numbers, “A Heart That’s Free,” “Allelujah” by Mozart and “The Drinking Song" from "La Traviata.” Featured players in “100 Men and a Giri” include Adolphe Menjou, Alice Brady, Eugene Pallette. For the first time in his career Leopold Stokowski plays the role of a motinon picture actor. He is cast as himself, but has the costarring role with Deanna Durbin. “Love in a Bungalow.” Nan Grey, one of the “Three Smart Girls,” is 'the star of the Universal comedy-romance which is to be presented at the Majestic Theatre tomorrow. The picture is light and breezy in its movement. The story is about a young hostess in a model bungalow, and her antagonism to the attention of an out-of-work -salesman who is inclined to make a nuisance ot himself. Kent Taylor is in the role opposite Nan Grey, and the pair work very well together. Louise Beavers, Hobart Cavanaugh, and Florence [Lake contribute their share of comedy. The climax of the story is I reached when the young couple win a radio prize as the most happilymarried couple. They made out a letter in reply to this competition just for fun during a storm. The salesman's interest in the monetary return from the competition provoked the | girl to quarrel with him, but when | the result, was known they decided to I capitalise on the opportunity. Howi ever the donors of the prize insist on I visiting the couple and seeing them [in their ideal home. The twins they [mentioned in their letter are a slight problem, and also the owner of the house. Finally the whole affair is straightened out, as to save bad publicity the prize is awarded, and they decide to become a happily married couple.
