FAMILY TRADITION FIVE GENERATIONS OF JOCKEYS GRAFTON (N.S.W.), Oct. 16. Diminutive Stanley Neale, who won on Bodley Head and Forcstage at City Tattersall’s meeting at Randick today, comes from a long line of jockeys. His father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and great-great-grandfather were all jockeys. Young Neale, who rode two winners at Grafton before entering his apprenticshipe with J. Noud at Randwick, is a son of the Northern Rivers jockey, Dave Neale. The boy’s grandfather, Gus Neale, 5s now a trainer at Grafton. Gus Neale’s father was an old-time rider » New Zealand before coming to Australia. His grandfather was also a rider in England. Young Neale was brought up in the saddle. He came from Grafton, where he was an apt pupil of his grandfather. The boy has won about a dozen races in the Metropolitan area since becoming apprenticed to Noud about 18 months ago.
