Chandeliers. Three huge crystal chandeliers, valued at £4OO each, and six large crystal wall brackets costing £l2O each, were imported from Czechoslovakia for use in RKO-Radio's “The Life of the Party,” in which Harriet Hilliard and Gene Raymond have the “top spots.” In addition, hundreds of yards of crystal fringe were manufactured to trim tables and chairs. Solid crystal tables were created from half-cylinders of glass, supported on crystal legs. The entire suite was developed in crystal and white satin, with white fur rugs. An added feature of the rooms were cellophane ruffles on bedspreads and curtains.
