NEGLIGENT DRIVERS

JUSTICE FAIR’S WARNING [ Per Press Association. ] AUCKLAND, Oct. 26. Found guilty last week of negligently driving a motor-car so as to cause the death of a young motorcyclist, Christian Henry Dubi, farmet, aged 58, was to-day fined 150 and had his licence cancelled by Mr Justice Fair. His Honour did not think the case called for sentence of imprisonment. It was true that the negligence of the prisoner contributed to the death of the cyclist, but no doubt prisoner regretted it as much as anyone. His Honour issued a general warning that a driver who was negligent must expect, and would receive, exemplary punishment.
