Charged with being intoxicated while in charge of a motor-cycle, Arthur Leo May, engine-driver, Sanson, who it was stated had been a week in custody, was ordered to come up for sentence within six months, conditional on taking out a prohibition order. His licence was suspended for 12 months. The magistrate, Mr Stout, said that but for the fact that accused had been in custody he would have given him imprisonment. George Charles Hastings, aged 55, butter distributor, for intoxication while in charge of a motor-van which was involved in a collision last evening, was fined £l5 and his licence was cancelled for 12 months.
