THE MARTON SALE The New Zealand Farmers’ Cooperative Distributing Co., Ltd., report a small yarding of sheep and a good entry of cattle and pigs at their usual fortnightly sale held yesterday. We quote as follows:—Prime fat ewes in wool, 355; fat woolly hoggets, 34s 9d; forward shorn b.f. two-tooths, 24s 4d; Jersey cows at drop, £8; cows in profit, £2 10s to £5; fat cows, ex dairy, £4 to £5 12s 6d; forward cows, £3 8s; yearling heifers, £4; small two-year heifers, £4 2s; grade Jersey bull, £l3 ss; others, £5 7s 6d to £7; yearling bulls, £3 10s to £4. Best weaner pigs, 20s to 23s 6d; medium ditto, 14s; slips, 26s to 26s 6d; hay rake, £7 17s 6d. Macracapa strainers, 15s. Advertising can reduce selling costs and lessen the time in which a productmoves from factory to consumer.
