THREE OLYMPIC BEPS. ( Per Press Association. ] ASHBURTON, Oct. 25. The presence of three New Zealand representatives at the last Olympic games was a feature of the Ashburton gala sports. G. R. Giles won the mile amateur cycling event. C. H. Matthews (20 yards) won the mile amateur running in 4.29 2-5. V. P. Boot gave a demonstration 600 yards run. The mile cash cycling championship of the South Island resulted: A. D. Moreland (Greymouth) 1, Smithers 2, J. Cremin (Christchurch) 3.
