WOMEN’S INSTITUTES

SOCIAL AND DANCE AT MOSSTON The Mosston W.I. held another cheery social and dance last Tuesday, wheh St. Agnes Hall was crowded with members and friends who spent an enjoyable time together. The music for the dance was supplied by Mr Denman (piano), and Messrs Dundon and Alderton (piano accordions). Mr Ralph Smith again acted as M.C. The Kaitoke W.I. staged a very amusing play and Mr H. Tipper sang two much appreciated solos. A competition, which was won by Master Bell, and a game for the young folk, helped to pass the time pleasantly. Supper was served by members of the committee. The president moved a vote of thanks to the Kaitoke W.I. for their entertaining item, also to Mr Tipper for his singing, the musicians and the M.C This was very heartily given with musical honours. A happy evening was brought to a close by the singing of the National Anthem.
