AUCKLAND CLUB SPRING MEETING CONCLUDES LABOUR DAY RESULTS [ Per Press Association. ] AUCKLAND, Oct. 25. The Auckland Trotting Club’s spring meeting was concluded at Epsom to-day before an attendance of 11,000. The weather was fine until mid-afternoon, after which several heavy showers were experienced. The track was slightly holding. The totalisator handled £30,991, compared with £27,417 last year, an increase of £3574. Bunched for two rounds, the field was moving fast, with Kenworthy and Noble Prince most prominent. Into the straight Noble Prince and Gold Dredge, who had made a forward move from the halfmile post, were leading Nervie’s Last, Kenworthy, Our McKinney and Kewpie’s King. In the run home Nervie’s Last came fast in the middle of the course to win by a head from Gold Dredge, who was a neck in front of Our McKinney. Kenworthy was fourth.
