SHUNTING ACCIDENT

PORTER BADLY INJURED [ Per Press Association. 1 CARTERTON, Oct. 23. A railway porter, S. J. Laws, single, was severely injured during shunting operations at Featherston this morning. He was attending a rake of trucks and was caught between two box wagons. He suffered a compound fracture of the left arm, a fractured wrist, and internal injuries. After attention from Dr. Sharp he was taken to the Masterton Hospital.
