OBITUARY
-HR. JOHN JOHNSON The many friends of Mr. John Johnson will regret to learn of his death on Friday morning at the home of his daughter, Mrs. R. Clark, Somme I arade. Mr. Johnston, who was born in Stockholm 84 years ago, came to the Dominion when he was in his twenties and took up farming in the Wairarapa district. Some 18 years later he came to Wanganui where he farmed near Makirikiri, later shifting to two other farms in this district. A number of years were spent at then Mr. Johnson returned to Wanganui after retiring from farming pursuits. Mrs. Johnson predeceased him 21 years ago. Mr. Johnson, who was extremely popular among his many friends, friends, leaves a grown-up family of four daughters and five sons—Mrs. R. Clark and Mrs. W. McCullouch (Wanganui), Mrs. W. Kilkolly and Mrs. W. Beehre (Auckland), Messrs N. and C. Johnson (Taihape), R. Johnson (Wan-♦ ganui), Alex. Johnston (Auckland’, t and A. Johnson (Patea).
