London Market Weaker CHILLED BEEF STEADY Lamb market: Shade easier owing to plentiful supplies home-killed. Mutton market: Wethers and ewes also weaker. Beef market: Frozen beef market steady and unchanged. Chilled beef: Hinds unchanged, fores shade firmer. New Zealand porker pigs: Trade slow owing to muggy weather. New Zealand baconer pigs: Nominal; none available. The above report was received yesterday by the Meat Board, which advises that the following are the ruling prices of wholesale quantities of the descriptions of frozen meat mentioned and are for representative parcels of the goods sold on Thursday. Chilled beef prices are averages of the week on which this list is issued. All prices are on the basis of delivered to Smithfield Market.
