LONDON STOCK MARKETS WALL STREET RECOVERY’ . LONDON, Oct. 21. The markets were active and strong following the overnight recovery of Wall Street and the non-intervention news. Engineering, shipping, oil, and rubber shares are especially favoured. There were many substantial gains. The change in sentiment is remark able, and though buying was mainlj professional, it is felt that the publi< will not be long in following the lea 4 provided Wall Street manages to hold its recovery. MARKET MOST ACTIVE Received Oct. 22, 10.25 p.m. NEW YORK, Oct. 21. Although trading was slower the stock market was most active, 3.640,000 shares changing hands. Many closed one to four points higher. Prices receded after a brisk opening but recovered during the final hour of trading.
