SOCIAL AND PERSONAL Mr and Mrs A. B. Currin, Wanganui, were visitors to Wellington this week. Miss N. and Miss J. Wilson, of Bulls, are visiting Auckland. Mr and Mrs K. Wright, Nelson, are visiting Wanganui. Mr and Mrs S. Gibbons are on a holiday visit to the Kawhai district. Returning to Wanganui next month after a delightful trip to England are Mr and Mrs Harold White. Mr and Mrs W. Cook, College Street, will leave this morning by cai for a two weeks’ holiday in Auckland. Miss Mary Darbyshire has returned to Wanganui after an extended holiday in Te Awamutu and Auckland. Miss Doris Kiihfuss, of Patea, is a visitor to Wanganui for the Technical College celebrations.

Miss R. Moye, of New Plymouth, is visiting Wanganui for the Technical College celebrations.

The Misses Miriam Smith and Zoe Evans, of Wellington, will spend a few days in Wanganui as the guests of Mrs W. Ralph Brown, Gonvilie. Miss Elsie Corser, of Wellington, will be a visitor to Wanganui for the Technical College reunion.

Mr and Mrs A. Douglass, of the New Zealand Friends’ School, St. John’s Hill, are arriving back from England by the Mariposa next week.

Mr and Mrs David Nicholl are visitors to Wanganui from Wellington.

Mrs Scott and Miss Hera Scott are visiting Wanganui.

Mrs W. Birch, of Westmere, who has been on a trip to England, expects to arrive back in New Zealand by the Port Hunter arriving on November 8.

At Kai Iwi Hall to-morrow (Sunday) afternoon, there will be a flower service and all children are asked to bring flowers for the Wanganui Hospital.

Mrs T. A. Duncan, Huntcrville, is visiting Wellington.

Miss Fraser, of Scotland, is spending a few days in Wanganui, and is the guest of Miss Jean Sim, Victoria Avenue.

Mrs Drake, of Berwick, Dominion president of the Women’s Division of ihe Farmers’ Union, who is visiting branches in the North Island, will be in Wanganui next Wednesday to meet members of the Wanganui branch.
