Boys in Camp. Fourteen boys of the Christ Church Bible Class are to leave at 8 a.m. this morning for Raorikia where they are to go into camp for the week-end and will return on Monday night. During the time they are under canvas the boys will participate in song services, sports and various other activities.

Water Supply There is an acute shortage of water at the present time and city authorities are endeavouring to get through the period without enforcing hosing restrictions. It is thought, however, that if weather conditions do not change within the next few days there would definitely have to be some restriction applied. Road Cycling Championship.

The North Island 100 miles road cycling championship race is to be held from Palmerston North to Wellington to-day and has attracted entries from six Wanganui cyclists. The Wanganui riders are W. Beswarick, I. Danielson, W. Dearsley, C. Gurr, R. King and J. Johnston.

Gymnastic Championships. The annual national Y.M.C.A. gymnastic hampionships are to be held at Trentham during the week-end. The Wanganui Y.M.C.A. wil be represented by Messrs A. Rounthwaite (director of physical education), R. Sisson, H. W. Johnston, A. Pudsey, D. Archibald, M. Croker and Miss F. W. Ellis (pianist). It is expected that there will be a large number of teams representing the various New Zealand branches of the Young Men’s Christian Association.

Visit of Choir. A musical combination of twentyfour voices from Wellington City are visiting Wanganui for the Labour week-end. This evening a variety programme will be given at the Salvation Army Hall, and to-morrow a full programme of excellent quality will be rendered at each service by the choir. Mr. W. Limpus and Mr. V. N. Underwood, who are in charge of the company, will also deliver addresses. On Monday the party will be motored around the city and suburbs.
