Mr. and Mrs. W. McA. Duncan, of Ruanui, are visiting Wellington. Mr. and Mrs. F. Newman, of Wanganui, are visitors to Wellington. Miss Marjory Saunders, St. John’s Hill, is the guest of Miss CracroftWilson, Raetihi. Mrs. Clemance and Miss W. Clemance, of Wanganui, are staying at Kokako, near Lake Waikaremoana, with Misses G. and P. Clemance. Mrs. C. Matthews, of Eastbourne, Wellington, is a visitor to Wanganui and is staying at the Red Lion Hotel. Mr. and Mrs. Russell Grace, "Arles,” Wanganui East, are visitors to Wellington for the races. Miss Joan Bates, of Wanganui, has returned to her home after a visit to Mrs. P. R. Simpson, at Makino, Manawatu.
Mrs. Kemp, widow of the late Rev. J. W. Kemp, Auckland, has been elected Dominion president of the New Zealand Baptist .Women’s Missionary Union. Miss Kelly, of "Atholbank,” who has gone to the Hastings Show to exhibit her daschunds in the dog show, has been successful in winning several prizes. • • • • Mrs. W. Deans, of Canterbury, Dominion president of Women’s Institutes, who was a visitor to Manga* weka yesterday for the Ruapehu Federation half-yearly council meeting, came on to Wanganui last evening and will attend the Wanganui Federation half-yearly meeting to-day at Westmere. Mrs. Deans is a guest at Foster’s Hotel.
