MOTICE is hereby given in terms of Section 43 of "The Rabbit Nuisance Act, 1928,” that the "Ratepayers’ List” of the Patea-Waitotara Rabbit District has been deposited at the Magistrate’s Court, Wanganui, for inspection by Stock-owners and Ratepayers. The Magistrate will sit to hear objections and finally revise such list on Wednesday, November 10, 1937, at 9.30 a.m. at the Magistrate’s Court at Wanganui. Any person who considers himself aggrieved by reason of the insertion or incorrectness of any matter in such list or of the omission of any matter therefrom may object by lodging with the Clerk of the Magistrate’s Court not later than three days before the date fixed for such hearing an objection in writing under his hand setting forth the grounds of such objection. PUBLIC NOTICE OF PROPOSED APPLICATION FOR SANCTION OF A LOAN. is hereby given that the Wanganui City Council proposes at a meeting to be held on the ninth day of November, 1937, to consider a motion to apply to the Local Government Loans Board for its sanction to the borrowing of the sum of £BOOO for the purpose of erecting a Gas Holder at Castlecliff in the City of Wanganui, and for the purchase of the necessary land. The term for which the sum of £BOOO c ■ any part thereof is to be borrowed is not to exceed five (5) years. The rate of interest payable from time to time is to be the current bank overdraft rate of interest to best customers. The money borrowed is to be repaid from the revenue of the Gas Works undertaking by annual payments of not less than one thousand six hundred pounds (£1600). Any person having any objection to the proposed application is called upon to submit the same in writing to the Wanganui City Council not later than the day preceding the said meeting. OY Order in Council, made and issued by His Excellency the Gover-nor-General in Council on the 20th day of October, 1937, under the authority o£ the above Act, it was determined that the duty by way of land-tax leviable under the said Act should be paid in one sum on Friday, the sth day of November, 1937, at the office of the Commissioner of Taxes, Government Buildings, Wellington, C.l; and, in accordance with such Order in Council, 1 hereby give notice that the said duty will be payable accordingly. Additional tax will accrue if the tax is not paid on or before 26th November, 1937. The liability to pay is not suspended by any objection. The tax should be paid on or before the prescribed date, otherwise the additional percentage accrues; any overpayment will be adjusted by refund. The demands will be posted from the office of the Commissioner of Taxes on or about 29tn October, 1937.
