WHANGAREI CONVICTIONS [ Per Press Association. ] WHANGAREI, Oct. 20. Fines totalling £250 were imposed on three people charged with breaches of the Gaming Act before Mr J. G. L. Hewitt, S.M., this morning. Arthur Lawrence Lambess and Charles Schon were each fined £lOO on a charge of using their premises as a common gaming house, while Charles Thomas Arthur Clark was fined 150 on a similar charge. A charge against Charles Neil McLeod McKinnon was dismissed, the magistrate stating that the defendant had just taken over the premises and the property found there might not have been his.
