GREATLY IMPROVED
SITUATION IN PALESTINE JERUSALEM, Oct. 19. The curfew order has been rescinded, indicating that the authorities regard the situation as greatly improved. A new Arab higher committee is reported as being formed in Syria where the presence of the Grand Mufti is perturbing the French authorities, who are expected to act vigorously if he engages in anti-British activities. BRITISH POLICY GERMAN PRESS ABUSE Received Oct. 30 ,9.5 p.m. BERLIN, Oct. 20. The German Press has opened a barrage of abuse of British policy in Palestine. The Nazi organ Volkischer Beobachter declares that the Union Jack waving victoriously over a scene of desolation and horror is Britain’s idea of world peace.
