GREAT ADVANCES BEING MADE N.Z. DOCTOR’S OBSERVATIONS [ Ter Press Association. ] WELLINGTON, Oct. 20. Dr. Alan Tennent, of Wellington, who was medical officer to the New Zealand Coronation contingent, and after the Coronation engaged in professional work in London, returned to-day. He said that great advances were being made in X-ray work boll; from a diagnostic and therapeutic point of view, and this applied, too, in the field of investigation into gastric disorders. Another matter to which great attention was being paid was the question of diet from the point of view of prevention of disease, particularly in relation to dental caries. Very extensive experimental work was, being done in this direction at Honolulu showing the value of tuber starches as preventive agents.
