WOOL-SCOURING INDUSTRY I Per Press Association. ] PALMERSTON N.» Oct. 18. The Conciliation Council sat to-day concerning the application for a new award for the wool scouring industry in the Wellington district. Little progress was made, proceedings being adjourned until to-morrow.
The employers’ assessors are adament on a 44-hour week and said they would take it to the Arbitration Court if the workers did not agree.
