OBITUARY
MRS MARION ALLEN [ Per Press Association. ] DUNEDIN, Oct. 19. The death has occurred of Mrs Marion Allen, aged 93, who landed with her parents at Port Chalmers from the ship Phillip Laing in 1848 A large part of her life *— spent at Waimate, returning here on her husband’s death in 1911. There are only two survivors of this immigrant ship.
