HABITUAL CRIMINAL
THREE TIMES DECLARED SYDNEY, Oct. 18. For the third time in his criminal career, which dates back to 1904, Frederick Lane, aged 49, traveller, was declared by Judge White in the quarter sessions to be an habitual criminal. In 1916 at Wellington, New Zealand, Lane was declared an habiutal criminal, and in 1923 at the same place he was again declared. The following year he escaped from gaol.
