The professional wrestling contest between Joe Woods, of America, and Francis Fouche, of France, ended in the fifth round in favour of Woods, who obtained the odd fall in three. The latter stayed on tha mat and Woods had no difficulty in pinning his shoulders. The second fall was a penalty one awarded to Fouche, who was knocked down with a hard jolt. Not content with this Woods rushed to the corner and lifted his knee up under the Frenchman's chin. In spite of the warning of the referee Woods repeated this performance twice more and a penalty fall was promptly awarded against him. The fifth rounH had only commenced when Woods forearm-jolted his opponent and then lifted him for a aM body press.
